Anonymous Isn’t April Foolin’ About War on Trump

The hacking group Anonymous is again threatening to make life harder on Donald Trump. Having already published his social security and cell phone numbers, along with the names of family members and other “private” information, they are now seeking more. They want their followers to hack The Donald on April 1, aka April Fool’s Day.

We’d feel worse about this than we do if the man himself hadn’t already pulled a similar stunt by reading Sen. Lindsay Graham’s phone number during one of Trump’s campaign speeches. That led to a hilarious video from Graham. We’ll see how Trump reacts when he’s on the receiving end of this behavior.

I don’t think that I was the one to prompt questions about my birth certificate, for example. I don’t remember saying, ‘Hey, why don’t you ask me about that. Or why don’t you question whether I’m American, or whether I’m loyal, or whether I have America’s best interests at heart’ — those aren’t things that were prompted by any actions of mine. He’s just doing more of what has been done for the last seven and a half years.

Americans Don’t Trust GOP Candidates to Appoint SCOTUS Justice

Of American voters trust Sen. Ted Cruz to nominate the new Supreme Court justice (57% don’t), only 31% trust Donald Trump to (62% don’t), and just 26% trust Marco Rubio to (61% don’t), according to a new Public Policy Polling survey. The poll also found that the public feels Taylor Swift is just as qualified as Donald Trump to make a court appointment.

Of Americans “express a favorable opinion of Trump, while 67% see him unfavorably … Many, 56%, see him ‘strongly’ unfavorably, a new high. Both of these reflect remarkable levels of unpopularity for a major domestic political figure,” according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll. “Clinton, by contrast, is seen unfavorably by 52% and strongly so by 41%, each 15 points less than Trump’s ratings in this poll.”

Donald Trump’s lead over the GOP presidential field nationally, followed closely by Ted Cruz at 27%, John Kasich at 22% and Marco Rubio at 20%, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. Also interesting is that Trump trails his rivals in hypothetical one-on-one match-ups: Cruz and Kasich best Trump by an identical 17 points, 57% to 40%, while Rubio beats Trump by 13 points, 56% to 43%.

It’s 2 a.m. The bar is closing. Republicans have had a series of strong and nasty Trump cocktails. Suddenly Ted Cruz is beginning to look kind of attractive. At least he’s sort of predictable, and he doesn’t talk about his sexual organs in presidential debates! … Well, Republicans, have your standards really fallen so low so fast? Are you really that desperate? Can you remember your 8 p.m. selves, and all the hope you had about entering a campaign with such a deep bench of talented candidates?
