The 2016 campaign for the U.S. presidency will likely always be remembered as the first time (and, let’s hope, the last) that a candidate’s genitals became an issue.

The candidate in question is Donald Trump, of course. And for everyone who is familiar with Trump’s history before he entered the presidential race, it is hardly surprising that he’s dragged presidential political discourse down to this unprecedented level of vulgarity.

Trump has Spent $25 Million on His Campaign

Amount Donald Trump put of his personal money into his presidential campaign in February, the Washington Post reports. “Since he began his White House bid last year, the billionaire real estate developer has lent or given his campaign nearly $25 million, according to Federal Election Commission reports. Although he maintains that he is self-funding the effort, his supporters have contributed $9.5 million, including $2 million in February.”

Jeb Bush Loaned His Campaign $407,000 in Final Days

Amount former Florida governor Jeb Bush loaned or gave his campaign as it struggled to pay its bills in the last weeks of his flagging presidential bid, the Washington Post reports. “New Federal Election Commission filings show that Bush’s campaign spent $3.6 million last month before he dropped out Feb. 20 — raising just $1.18 million in the same period. A large share of the money came from the candidate himself, who gave his campaign $56,983.50 on Feb. 1. The next day, he loaned the campaign $250,000. And on Feb. 16, four days before the South Carolina primary, he gave an additional $100,000.”

A new Deseret News/KSL poll finds that if Donald Trump becomes the Republican Party’s nominee, Utahns would vote for a Democrat for president in November for the first time in more than 50 years.

Lots of Arizonans Burned an Early Vote for Rubio

Of Arizona early voters cast ballots for Marco Rubio, according to an MBQF Consulting poll taken last week. Washington Examiner: “As of last Wednesday afternoon, at least a quarter million registered Republicans had already voted in Arizona, taking advantage of the state’s 26-day early voting period. Based on the timeline, this means those 250,000 Arizona Republicans all voted without knowing Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) would no longer be a candidate by election day.” By our math, that’s about 40,000 votes Ted Cruz won’t get.
