Reminder: Donald Also Admitted He Sexually Harasses Women

Republicans and their media lapdogs are having a field day over movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s admissions that he sexual harassed actresses and female employees — trotting out the old “boeth sides do it” trope because Weinstein has contributed heavily to Democratic Party causes and candidates.

They conveniently forget that in the infamous “Access Hollywood” video, which surfaced one year ago this month, Donald Trump also admitted that he routinely uses his celebrity status to sexually harasses women. Since then 11 women have come forward with accusations against him.

To help them remember this important fact, we’re re-posting the “Access Hollywood” video.

Roger Ailes On Competing Networks

I flip to MSNBC occasionally to make sure their blind pig didn’t find an acorn. But they never have once. I tell you who I do like at MSNBC — I like Joe and Mika. I don’t watch much CNN, they got out of the news business in primetime. But I look to see if they have a good documentary or movie. If they do, I’ll watch that.

— Fox News chief Roger Ailes, quoted by the Hollywood Reporter.

Did News Corp’s Muslim Billionaire Investor Force Fox News to Apologize for Anti-Islam ‘Errors’?

Fox News apologized not once but twice Saturday night for false statements about European Muslims made repeatedly during the network’s broadcasts last week. Because Fox disseminates lies and misinformation so regularly and apologizes so rarely, the fact that it issued two “wea culpas” on the same night — albeit during the weekend while no one was watching — appears to be significant. Of course, Fox is not revealing why it issued the apologies, nor whether it did so under pressure and, if so, from whom.

Fox News President Roger Ailes Dishes on His Network’s Hosts

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Fox News President Roger Ailes spoke candidly about the news anchors and show hosts he employs. Predictably, Alies does not like it when Shepard Smith, the only actual journalist employed by the network, goes off script and reports reality-based news that runs counter to Fox’s GOP-propaganda narrative:

Hannity’s show uses a logo that asks, “Can You Afford Four More?” Ailes calls him “predictable,” but Hannity says he’s not a party man …

Ailes seems to relish the feuding among his stars, saying, “O’Reilly hates Sean and he hates Rush because they did better in radio than he did.” ….

Ailes keeps a wary eye on anchor Shepard Smith, who occasionally backs aspects of the Obama record: “Every once in a while Shep Smith gets out there where the buses don’t run and we have a friendly talk.” And Ailes likes to tease O’Reilly: “You gonna suck up to Obama so you can get another interview at the next football game?”
