Number of tweets from Democrats Monday, June 6, the day Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) held his press conference when he admitted he lied about his Twitter account being hacked and that he had sent lewd messages via Twitter and Facebook to women. That’s about 30 percent less than the frequency of tweets two Mondays before. On the Republican side, 338 tweets were sent the Monday of Weiner’s presser, about an 18 percent drop from two weeks before.
More Americans Identify as Democrat

Of Americans identified as Democrats last month as compared to 39% who identified as Republicans, according to a new Gallup poll. The six-point Democratic edge is the largest measured since October 2009, when the gap was seven points.

In Anti-Austerity Push, Moveon.org Hacks Fox News’ Ticker: ‘We Are Being Lied To – America Is Not Broke’
Moveon.org hijacked the news ticker at Fox News world headquarters and inserted this message:
“We are being lied to. Rightwingers are destroying the middle class and trying to kill our unions. The country is not broke. We are the richest country in the world. USA is twice as rich as China. Our economy is bigger than most of Europe combined. We are not broke. We are being lied to. We will rise up. We will fight back. We will spread the truth.”
This is part of Rebuild the Dream, a new anti-austerity initiative from Moveon.org, which will be launched on June 23 in New York City in an event hosted by Van Jones and featuring the Roots and artist/DJ Shepard Fairey.
