Statistically significant changes in approval rarely follow a televised presidential address. Typically, the president’s ratings hardly move at all. Most changes are well within the margin of error — and many of them show a loss of approval.

A new Monmouth poll finds a little more than 3 in 10 Americans want to see President Trump win a second term in the White House. “Those who don’t want to see Trump reelected predictably varies by party, but 16% — not an insignificant number — of Republicans say Trump should be a one-term leader… while 92% of Democrats and 58% of independents said the same.”

A new Fox News poll finds approval of special counsel Robert Mueller stands at 59%, up 11 points since July, and 40% expect the investigation will find Trump committed criminal or impeachable offenses, up 5 points.

The poll found 32% of people in those ‘Trump counties’ think the country is better off now than it was before Trump assume office. A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds President Trump’s job approval rating has declined to the lowest point of his presidency, 38% to 58%. “Looking ahead to the 2018 midterm elections, which take place a year from now, 48% of registered voters in the poll say they prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress, while 41% want a Republican-controlled Congress.”
