The modernity gap that haunted the Republican Party on Election Day 2012 has since worsened. A record-high 30 percent of Americans now identify as socially liberal, Democratic-leaning single mothers are a growing portion of the electorate, and more Americans than not have an unfavorable view of the GOP, notwithstanding the recent spate of negative news surrounding the administration.

Number of House of Representative members with the surname Smith, according to a Smart Politics analysis. With the addition of Missouri’s Jason Smith to its rolls, the name now extends its lead to 50 over “Johnson” which comes in second with 65. Rounding out the Top 10 are Davis with 55, Wilson and Williams with 54, Miller with 49, Brown with 46, Jones with 45, and Taylor and White with 41.
I find that a disappointing appointment on the part of the president. I think what she did was to very seriously mislead the American people about what happened in Benghazi. My greatest concern about the Benghazi events was the fact there was not a rescue effort attempted and that is very troubling to me.
