Voters Split On Who Will Win Tomorrow’s Presidential Debate

Of voters surveyed say President Obama will do better in this week’s presidential debate, while 37% expect Mitt Romney to prevail, according to a new Pew Research poll. This stands in stark contrast to expectations prior to the first presidential debate two weeks ago, which voters expected Obama to win by a 51% to 29% margin.

Update and Correction: I have been in touch with a producer of the video this afternoon and have learned that my suspicions about the motives behind it were unfounded. He told me he is a supporter of Pres. Obama.
He also told me, via email, “Really, my biggest desire is that it gets people discussing the issue — and whether it’s a fair question and whether it needs to be asked. Just having the issue discussed and having daylight shined on it is a victory…”

Romney: Uninsured Don’t Die Because of Lack of Insurance
We don’t have people that become ill, who die in their apartment because they don’t have insurance.
— Mitt Romney, who has pledged to repeal Obamacare, told the Columbus Dispatch that people without health insurance don’t have to worry about dying as a result. However, Reuters reported earlier this year that more than 26,000 working-age adults die prematurely in the United States each year because they lack health insurance.
