George W. Perry: Gubmint Can’t Create Jobs – Except in Texas

Government doesn’t create any jobs. They can actually run jobs away.

– Texas Gov. Rick Perry, June 28, 2011

Since June 2009, 40 percent of the new jobs in this country were created in Texas. We’ve got only 10 percent of the population, but 40 percent of the new jobs.

Perry on Aug. 13, announcing his run for the presidency, quoting job figures that are mostly attributable to oil companies’ hiring as a result of their price gouging of consumers on the price of gasoline

Marcus Bachmann Tries to Prove He is 100% Heterosexual

It seems Michele Bachmann’s husband Marcus has heard the speculation about his sexuality and is determined to prove that he is 100 percent heterosexual. Over the weekend in Iowa, first he elbowed and shoved Don Lemon, an openly gay CNN anchor. Now comes this photo showing him exchanging spit with a political supporter.

And speaking of the Bachmann’s oral fixations on display in Iowa this weekend, there’s this bizarre but hilarious, almost NSFW photo of his wife Michele enjoying a footlong hotdog.

Professional Homophobe Marcus Bachmann Accosts Openly Gay News Anchor

“As both CNN staffers tried to question Bachmann, Lemon said he was pushed by two members of Bachmann’s staff,” reports CNN. “Lemon also said that Marcus Bachmann, the congresswoman’s husband, pushed him.”

Marcus Bachman, the husband of GOP frontrunner Rep. Michele Bachmann, elbowed and pushed CNN anchor Don Lemon during a campaign event in Iowa on Saturday.

Marcus Bachmann has been at the center of a scandal that erupted last month after an undercover investigation revealed that his Christian psychology clinic provided so-called ex-gay “reparative therapy,” despite his assertions that it did not.

Lemon, the CNN anchor, is openly gay.

Video and a report from the The Advocate follow.

Bachmann Pushes Corn Dog Envelope

So I took a fair amount of heat for suggesting that Michele Bachmann might not want to wear a plunging neckline that exposes lots of her chestal area while working crowds. You know, all that leaning forward to shake hands, pinch baby cheeks, and squeeze the shoulders of wheelchair users and what-not.

But we are now entering unimagined territory. A FOOT-LONG CORN DOG? Really, Michele Bachmann? And we are supposed to gaze at this action shot and simply say, “Huh. Looks like a good corn dog. That’s all I see.”

O.K., I’ll try to only see a corn dog and not see a person with a serious lack of imagination about how a foot-long corn dog being inserted into a woman’s open mouth while she reaches to grasp it with two hands might look. I will also try not to see a person who should never, ever, ever be president.
