Al Gore is Back, Just in Time

I woke up thinking about the disheartening news yesterday that Trump is doing his level best to set back Obama’s efforts to avert climate change. And then I saw this video, and realized that Al Gore is still out there somewhere, plugging away at making it better. As Gore put it in his response to Trump’s announcement:

No matter how discouraging this executive order may be, we must, we can, and we will solve the climate crisis. No one man or group can stop the encouraging and escalating momentum we are experiencing in the fight to protect our planet.

Gore Declines to Endorse Clinton

It’s still too early, in my opinion, to endorse a candidate or pick a candidate. Everybody can look at how the presidential campaign is developing and get some pretty clear ideas about how they think it’s going to turn out, but I still think it’s premature. The election is still a full year away. I think I’ll wait to wade into it.

Graham Blames Al Gore for GOP’s Stance on Climate Change

I said that it’s real, that man has contributed to it in a substantial way. But the problem is Al Gore’s turned this thing into religion. You know, climate change is not a religious problem for me, it’s an economic, it is an environmental problem.

— Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), blaming Al Gore in a speech for the fact that “people of my party are all over the board” when it comes to thinking climate change is real.

Coming June 20: ‘Countdown with Keith Olbermann’ on Current TV

HuffPost:

Keith Olbermann finally announced what his new Current TV show will be called, and when it will air.

The new name? “Countdown With Keith Olbermann.”

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” Olbermann joked in a video announcement posted to his “Fok News Channel” site on Tuesday morning.

Previously, Olbermann would only say that the show would air in “late spring.” In the video, he at last gave a specific date: Monday, June 20, at 8 PM Eastern.
