Carlson Tells Trump He’s Failed
“You have not done a good job running this country. You don’t even care to try. You’d rather run the world or the empire. You don’t want to improve Baltimore. You don’t care about Gary, Indiana. Rural America makes you sick… Normal leaders would ask themselves, ‘Why are people mad? What are they dissatisfied with? How can I help them? They’re clearly in pain.’ … You have failed.”
— Tucker Carlson unloaded on President Trump and his administration, stating he has abandoned everyday Americans and even has contempt for them.
Comey Indictment Looks Flimsy
“If it really is a picture that says ‘86 47’ — I’ve used ‘86’ a lot of times. I’ve never said it with the intent of killing somebody.”
— Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), quoted by the Washington Post, suggesting the indictment of former FBI director James Comey is flimsy.
Iran Attention Span

The news from Trump’s economy these days is all doom and gloom,
And though he’s ended it twelve times, Trump’s ending the Iran war again soon.
All this bad news really rankles
Trump — from his hairdo to his cankles —
When all he really wants to do is build his big, beautiful ballroom.
Red Meat Rhetoric

The current state of our national political debate is pathetic,
And politicians’ performative stunts make us crave an emetic.
But when the bullets start flying,
Both sides start denying:
Saying MY violent rhetoric is less violent than YOUR violent rhetoric.
DeSantis’s Redistricting Plan Relies on Fantasy Latino Vote
“For DeSantis’s map to work, he is betting that Latinos will stick with the GOP at 2024 levels. There is not much evidence to support that bet. … The worst-case scenario for a gerrymandered map is that it produces a worse result than the old map. That’s called a dummymander.”
— Dan Pfeiffer
House Republicans Are ‘Clueless’ on Strategy
“They’re clearly not talking to their members. They have no clue on strategy or how to move anything across the finish line, and it’s just frustrating as hell.”
— Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), quoted by Punchbowl News, on the House Republican leadership.
Germans Appalled at Lack of Planning for Trump’s Iran War
“It is quite obvious that the Americans have absolutely no coherent strategy whatsoever. And the fundamental problem with these kinds of conflicts is always the same: it is not enough to simply get yourself in—you must also figure out how to get yourself out.”
— German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, speaking at an event on the war with Iran.
All Over the Map

Need something nefarious done? Ron DeSantis will take a gander,
Especially if it’s for Donald Trump, to whom he loves to pander.
As for Florida law, here’s the thing,
DeSantis puts the “dick” in “redistricting,”
By flaunting the constitution to do what they’re calling a “dummymander.”
