Wide Majority Approves of Transgender Service Members
68% to 27%
A new Quinnipiac poll finds American voters say by a 68% to 27% margin, including 55% to 39% among voters in military households, that transgender people should be allowed to serve in the military. Republicans oppose transgender service, 60% to 32%, but every other party, gender, education, age or racial group supports transgender service by margins of 22 percentage points or higher.

Flake More Unpopular than Trump in Arizona
18% to 61%
A new Public Policy Polling survey in Arizona finds Sen. Jeff Flake’s (R-AZ) approval rate at just 18%, with 62% disapproving. In contrast, President Trump’s approval rate in the state is 44% to 53%. If the 2018 election were held today, Flake would lose to a generic Democrat, 47% to 31%.

A new Quinnipiac poll finds President Trump’s approval rating at a dismal 33% to 61%. By a 54% to 26%, American voters say that they are embarrassed rather than proud to have Trump as president and by 57% to 40%, they say he is abusing the powers of his office.
All the Economic News is Not Good
Trump continues to claim credit for the economic recovery that was well under way, and handed to him by Pres. Obama, when he took office. His supporters acted as if the Dow hitting 20,000 was Trump’s work alone, possibly because their guy told them so. As the unemployment rate continues the decline it was already experiencing under Obama, Trump will no doubt bask in the glory.
But there’s another economic number that Trump can rightfully own. The decline in the strength of the U.S. dollar is all on him.

Travelers often leave behind personal items when they check out of an Airbnb or other vacation rental, but police in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. have noticed a particular absentmindedness on the part of those who just can’t be without their guns. They remember to bring them to their relaxing getaway on the shores of the Gulf, but they forget to take them home.
…according to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Corey Dobridnia…a total of 20 guns have been turned in since Memorial Day. Ninety percent came from vacation homes.
