Number of times Michelle Obama mispronounced U.S. Senate candidate Bruce Braley’s (D) name during her speech in Iowa, the Des Moines Register reports. She referred to the Iowa congressman as “Bruce Bailey” seven times before people in the crowd pointed out the mistake. Said Mrs. Obama: “Braley. What did I say? I am losing it. I am getting old. I have been traveling too much.”

Mitt Romney Tells an Obama Joke
While campaigning in Iowa, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney proves his sense of humor is as sharp today as it was during the 2012 campaign, as reported by National Journal:
“President Obama went to the bank to cash a check and he didn’t have his ID. And the teller said you’ve got to prove who you are.”
“He said, ‘How should I do that?’ She said the other day Phil Mickelson came in, he didn’t have his ID but he set up a little cup on the ground, took a golf ball, putted it right into that cup so they knew it was Phil Mickelson. They cashed his check. And then Andre Agassi came in. And Andre Agassi didn’t have his ID either. He put a little target on the wall, took a tennis ball and racquet — hit it onto that target every time. We knew that was Andre Agassi so we cashed his check.”
“And she said to him, ‘Is there anything you can do to prove who you are?’ And [Obama] said, ‘I don’t have a clue.'”
“And she said, ‘Well, Mr. President, do you want your money in small bills or large bills.'”
It was side-splitting jokes like that one that garnered Mitt’s inclusion into the “Encyclopedia of Mormon Comedians.”

It’s True – History Will Likely View Obama As a Great President
Paul Krugman’s article, “In Defense of Obama,” in Rolling Stone has caused a minor stir. In it he counters the anti-Obama currents swirling on both the left and the right by suggesting that Obama “has emerged as one of the most consequential and, yes, successful presidents in American history.”

Krugman was not always a fan. “Back in 2008, when many liberals were wildly enthusiastic about his candidacy and his press was strongly favorable,” Krugman writes. “I was skeptical. I worried that he was naive, that his talk about transcending the political divide was a dangerous illusion given the unyielding extremism of the modern American right … And I wasn’t wrong. Obama was indeed naive: He faced scorched-earth Republican opposition from Day One, and it took him years to start dealing with that opposition realistically.”
Even now, Krugman writes, the president’s most historically consequential successes — healthcare reform and recovery from the 2008 financial crash and the Bush recession that ensued — come with caveats. “Health reform is imperfect, but still a huge step forward,” says Krugman,”and it’s working better than anyone expected. Financial reform fell far short of what should have happened, but it’s much more effective than you’d think. Economic management has been half-crippled by Republican obstruction, but has nonetheless been much better than in other advanced countries. And environmental policy is starting to look like it could be a major legacy.”
