Something Strange is Happening in Riverdale
Strange things are happening on the primary-color streets of Riverdale, Archie’s hometown. Barack Obama and Sarah Palin share a malted — spiked with lord knows what!
Here’s the logline for the cover:
President Barack Obama and famed politician Sarah Palin get involved as Student Government campaigns spiral out of control at Riverdale High! The race between Archie and Reggie gets hot as campaign chaos reaches to the top, forcing an impromptu visit from these big-name politicos, who get pulled into the fray!
Probably a bunch of sophomore tea bagger troublemakers. And as if that wasn’t strange enough, the storyline spills over into a second issue with this cover and logline:

The GOP-Fox 2010 Race Baiting Campaign Rolls on: Beck Puts Up Graphic, ‘Coons in Africa’
Over at News Hounds, where they watch Fox so we don’t have to, dear readers — for which I am, and you should be, eternally grateful — they caught one of the subtlest attempts at race baiting on the Republicans’ in-house network this year. During a bizarre peroration by Glenn Beck in which he tried his damnedest to help the campaign of Delaware Christian tea bagger Christine O’Donnell get up out of its defensive crouch, he flashed a header on the screen behind that said “Coons in Africa.”
The headline officially referred to O’Donnell’s opponent, Chris Coons, the Democratic nominee who is a county official in Delaware. But come on.

Confusing Tea Baggers with the Facts Again: Like Murkowski, O’Donnell Ran Write-In Campaign in 2006
Tea baggers hurling the “sore loser” insult at Sen. Lisa Murkowski for announcing she will be a write-in candidate this fall should remember 2006, according to NPR’s “Political Junkie” Ken Rudin. That was the year Delaware’s Christine O’Donnell did the same thing.
An e-mail from the Tea Party Express on Sunday said that by waging her write-in effort, Murkowski “showed utter contempt for the people of Alaska who rejected her candidacy in the Republican primary.”
O’Donnell was the “sore loser” in 2006Levi Russell, the communications director of the TPE, added, “Senator Murkowski is a sore loser. Not all the hanging chads in the world can undo the fact that she lost…
Chuck DeVore, the conservative California assemblyman who lost the GOP Senate primary this year, had this to say on Friday: “Blatantly disrespecting voters in Alaska, Murkowski decided that primary results didn’t matter.”
Amy Kremer, the chairman of the Tea Party Express, said this… “She was fired by the people of Alaska. They said it was time for her to go…”
And Sarah Palin, a Murkowski foe whose backing for the ultimate primary winner, Joe Miller, was seen as crucial, Tweeted this: “Primary voters spoke. Listen to the people, respect their will; w/a 40-pt incumbent lead & $2.8 million war chest, voters chose Joe instead.”
Ethics Group Files Complaint against Christine O’Donnell, Citing Embezzlement, Tax Evasion
Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed complaints with the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against newly-minted Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell (R) for using campaign funds for personal living expenses. By misusing campaign funds, Ms. O’Donnell committed the crime of conversion; by lying about her expenditures on forms she filed with the FEC, she committed false statements; and by failing to include the campaign funds she misappropriated as income, she committed tax evasion.
“Christine O’Donnell is clearly a criminal, and like any crook she should be prosecuted,” said Melanie Sloan, CREW Executive Director. “Ms. O’Donnell has spent years embezzling money from her campaign to cover her personal expenses. Republicans and Democrats don’t agree on much these days, but both sides should agree on one point: thieves belong in jail not the United States Senate.”

Christine O’Donnell’s Big Victory: She Won with 30,563 Votes – Total
30,563 Total number of votes Christine O’Donnell received to win the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat in Delaware, according to the state’s official tally. Her opponent, liberal GOP Rep. Mike Castle, received 27,021 votes — or did they? Election fraud expert Brad Friedman at The BRAD BLOG is not buying it.
