We remember a calmer, wittier Trump from not so long ago,
But now he seems shaken, freighted by emotional cargo.
That’s why he went ‘ballistic’
And pitched a hissy fit,
Before heading off to the “winter White House” Mar-a-Lago.
In Donald’s view, his Twitter account has never failed him.
It’s been his stalwart go-to whenever critics assailed him.
But Republicans cringe
When his tweets seem unhinged,
Like when he posts unsubstantiated claims Obama surveilled him.
The swaztikas are multiplying by ones and twos,
Jewish cemeteries are defiled, but there are no clues.
We don’t know who’s doing it,
But Trump says he’d bet it’s
Being done by none other than the Jews.
Alarmed at the growing sense of unrest,
Trump seeks to blame some singular pest.
As he casts about for a villain,
He lights on one who’s chillin’.
It is Barack Obama who’s behind all the protests!
“Go nuclear!” said the Trump to McConnell,
If his SCOTUS choice the Democrats do throttle.
With bravado and bluster —
Poof! No more filibuster!
Let’s just hope Trump doesn’t lead by example.
Pundits say that Trump’s $5,000 midterm bribe was an overreach,
And they agree that if lies were a crime, he’d be impeached.
Despite all the dividend promises he’s made,
The fact is, not one has ever been paid,
So even before the midterms, he already owes us $8,000* each.
