If You Have a Sister, Be Thankful She’s Not Like Liz Cheney
In 2004, Dick Cheney proved that even conservative Republicans are one gay child away from a sensible view on marriage. In 2012, Liz Cheney is proving that Republicans will sell out a sibling to win a primary.
— LOLGOP, National Memo columnist, noting that Wyoming Senate candidate Liz Cheney declared herself against marriage equality in an effort to prove she is even more conservative than incumbent Sen. Mike Enzi. Cheney’s sister, Mary, is openly gay.
Tea Party Presidential Wanna-Be, Sen. Rafael Eduardo ‘Ted’ Cruz of Texas, Releases Scan of a Document Purported to Be His Birth Certificate

Texas Tea Party Sen. Ted Cruz signaled he is definitely running for president in 2016 by releasing his birth certificate this week. The scan he provided is posted above and, as you can see, it just seems fake, doesn’t it? The document purports that Cruz’s real name is not “Ted,” it’s Rafael Eduardo Cruz — the certificate says his middle name is “Edward,” but that was probably Photoshopped from Eduardo to make him sound more American. But the clincher is, it says he was born in Canada, which — for the benefit of any low-info Fox viewers who may read this — is a foreign country.
The document indicates that his mother was an American but that his father, Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, was a Cuban national. Because of this, the media is drawing parallels between Cruz’ citizenship status at birth and Pres. Obama’s. The president was also born in a foreign country — Hawaii — to an American mother and a non-American father. Barack Obama Sr. was a citizen of Kenya, which was then a British colony. One significant difference is that while Obama’s father has been accused of being “anti-colonial” (just like George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the first three U.S. presidents) Cruz’ father admits he fought for the communist dictator, Fidel Castro.
Breaking News: Pensito Review Uncovers Stunning Evidence That Rightwing Radio Host Is Right — Bin Laden Situation Room Pic WAS Photoshopped
Some people laughed when American Family Association member Bryan Fischer claimed that the famous photo taken in the White House Situation Room during the raid that captured and killed Osama bin Laden was Photoshopped. Fischer said that Obama was added in later because his head appears smaller than anyone else’s in the room, but Pensito Review has found evidence, after scrutinizing the photo anew, that there does indeed seem to be something amiss in the famous shot that only the use of Photoshop can explain.
Addicting Info: 10 Embarrassing Things Republicans Have Done to North Carolina Since the Tea Party Seized Power

1. Reinstating Jim Crow-style voter suppression laws 53 years after the historic Woolworth sit-ins in Greensboro
2. Under the guise of motorcycle safety, passing a big-government Republican takeover of North Carolina women’s uteruses, which Gov. McCrory signed into law despite a campaign promise not to restrict women’s reproductive rights
3. Cutting funding for programs that feed the hungry and house and clothe the unemployed — which is a paradox because these Republicans claim to be Christians and this directly countermands Jesus’ requirement that Christians must help the poor and needy
4. Attempting to unilaterally nullify the U.S. Constitution and create a North Carolina state religion
5. Killing a proposal for background checks for gun buyers while passing a bill to make it legal to carry concealed weapons on college campuses, state property, greenways, bike trails, at sporting events and in businesses that serve alcohol
North Carolina Republicans to State’s Unemployed: Drop Dead

A new law taking effect in North Carolina over the weekend will cut unemployment benefits for new claims and disqualify the state from receiving federal funds for the long-term jobless.
According the The Associated Press, lawmakers passed the bill in February to accelerate the repayment of $2.5 billion federal debt by cutting jobless benefits and increasing taxes on businesses. Because the bill cuts benefits to those who are newly unemployed, the state also disqualified itself from receiving federally funded Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC).
The U.S. Labor Department has estimated that about 170,000 out-of-work North Carolinians stand to lose $700 million in EUC payments.
A Ten Point Loss Is Welcome News for Florida Gov. Rick Scott

The news was all good for Florida Gov. Rick Scott (Tea/GOP) in a recent Quinnipiac University poll…if you consider losing re-election to any competitor by at least six points to be good news.
In a match-up with former Gov. Charlie Crist (who is considering running against him as a Democrat), Scott would lose 47 – 37. But that’s six points lower than he would have lost in March, according to the poll.
If he were running against U.S. Sen Bill Nelson (D – Fla.), he would still lose, 48 – 38.
Against former state Sen. Nan Rich (D), Scott would lose less badly: 42 – 36 percent. Of course, 84 percent of those polled said they didn’t know enough about Rich to form an opinion on her.
Scott also earned the highest approval ratings he’s seen, showing that a PR charm offensive that included basically paying teachers off is working. A whopping 43 percent of those queried approved of his job performance.
Best of all, only 50 percent of voters say Scott does not deserve to be re-elected.
If you’re wondering why what might be seen by others as reason for a stiff, commiserating drink is making Scott so happy, Quinnipiac explains.
FOX’s Lou Dobbs and Other Males Astounded, Outraged That 40% of Women Out-Earn Men
You’ve probably heard about it but you have to see it to believe it. Watch for yourself the spectacle of Republicans coming to the realization that they live in a new world — if you consider all the years of most of our lifetimes “new.”
Congress Losing a Squirrel; Country Gaining a Nut
There is no question that Rep. Michele Bachmann (GOP/Tea – Minn.) is among the squirreliest of the squirrels in Congress. But as she announces her decision not to seek re-election next year, the web site capitolwords has ranked the words and phrases most used by the head of the tea party caucus.
And the number one single word most used by Bachmann on the floor of the House is…“acorn.”
The surprises on the list, which can be sorted by one-word, two-word, three-word, etc. phrases include that “Obamacare” doesn’t make the top twenty in any category. “Obama” was of course number two on the single word list, and, to her credit, “President Obama” was number four when Bachmann used two words. Also on the lists: “socialized,” “democrat-controlled,” “planned parenthood,” “back to $2 a gallon,” and finally, “I was unexpectedly detained.”
In announcing her lame duckness via an eight-minute video, Bachmann did not say she was planning to spend more time with her family, and is more or less looking for a job.
