The latest NBC News poll shows that 22% of registered voters nationally said they have a “great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence in the Supreme Court. Another 40% said they had “some” confidence, while 38% said they had “very little” or “no” confidence.

A record number of Americans think the Supreme Court has tilted too far to the right, polling released Wednesday shows. Forty-three percent of U.S. adults described the court as “too conservative” in Gallup’s Sept. 2–16 Governance poll—the highest figure the organization has ever measured, surpassing the previous high of 42 percent recorded in 2022. By comparison, 36 percent said the court is “about right,” while just 17 percent labeled it “too liberal.”

A new Gallup poll finds approval ratings of the U.S. Supreme Court remain at record low levels.“The court’s current 40% approval rating remains steady but reflects unhappiness about the court’s actions to eliminate the nationwide right to abortion. From 2017-to mid-2021 the court’s approval rating was at 49% or higher, but its rating plunged to 40% in September 2021 after the justices allowed a restrictive Texas abortion law to stand, later overturning Roe v. Wade.”
