“A Democratic tidal wave on Election Day in Virginia three weeks ago has left chaos in its wake, with control of the House of Delegates still undecided and no end in sight to the dispute,” the AP reports. “Lawsuits, threats and recriminations are flying as the state wrestles with the tricky question of what to do about the 147 voters in and around a crucial district who were given the wrong ballots.”
“There have been hacking attempts on election systems in more than 20 states — far more than had been previously acknowledged,” a senior Department of Homeland Security official told NBC News. “The ‘attempted intrusions’ targeted online systems like registration databases, and not the actual voting or tabulation machines that will be used on Election Day and are not tied to the Internet.”
Some people would call it chivalry, some people call it sexism — that the man should come forward and not let the woman do time on his behalf.
