“A Daily Beast examination of public records reveals that there are at least 20 families, joined by either blood or marriage, in which multiple members hold some federal post or appointment. They include the families of some of Trump’s most prominent campaign supporters and agency officials, including one cabinet officer. The posts range from senior White House staff to more ceremonial and advisory positions.”

Boston Globe: “None of the nearly 10 pastors reached by phone said the allegations of sexual misconduct changed their views about Moore. Several said the allegations made them more proud to vote for the former judge.” Said pastor Earl Wise: “I don’t know how much these women are getting paid, but I can only believe they’re getting a healthy sum.” … “Wise said he would support Moore even if the allegations were true and the candidate was proved to have sexually molested teenage girls and women.”

Puerto Rican Climate Refugees to Tilt Florida Politics

New York Times: “More than 168,000 people have flown or sailed out of Puerto Rico to Florida since the hurricane, landing at airports in Orlando, Miami and Tampa, and the port in Fort Lauderdale. Nearly half are arriving in Orlando, where they are tapping their networks of family and friends. An additional 100,000 are booked on flights to Orlando through Dec. 31… Large numbers are also settling in the Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas.”

Moore-Supporting Alabama Pastor Cites ‘War on Men’

There are 14 Republicans in California’s 53 seat congressional delegation. Seven of the 14 are in districts won by Hillary Clinton in 2016. Rep. Darrell Issa, the wealthiest member of Congress — and perhaps the most unpopular politician statewide — is one of the seven.
