  1. Count California in for at least five new Dem seats as a result of redistricting. Two GOP chairmen are vulnerable — Rules Chair David Dreier, whose district was redrawn to be solid Dem and Administration Chair Dan Lungren, who is one of the least popular Republicans in the state and who won in a squeaker against an amateur in 2010, an otherwise GOP wave year. We could up the Dem caucus by as many as seven but there are some districts where Dem incumbents are contesting each other in primaries.
