According to people close to the Trump campaign, the relationship has been driven almost entirely by Cruz. The Texas senator has sought Trump out on numerous occasions, both before and after the mogul jumped into the 2016 race… Trump has welcomed the exchanges and meetings, his people said, but he does not see them as especially necessary or helpful to him. Instead, he views Cruz as a useful, friendly face who appreciates him and whom he is happy to be chummy with on debate stages.

Rubio Has Missed More Votes Than Any Other Senators Running for Prez

Marco Rubio has missed since announcing his run in mid-April, more than a third of roll calls on the Senate floor. “Trailing not far behind him on the absentee scale are Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas). At the other end of the spectrum is Rand Paul of Kentucky, who has missed just two votes,” reports Politico.

The next group of candidates includes Scott Walker at 7%, Mike Huckabee at 7%, Marco Rubio at 6%, Ben Carson at 6%, and Rand Paul at 6%. The rest of the field garners no more than 2% of the vote.

I find it ironic that Ted Cruz is giving lectures on Republican-on-Republican violence. I mean with all due respect, I don’t need to be lectured by Ted Cruz.

Said pollster Peter Brown: “Those who thought the Republican race in the Iowa caucuses might begin to clarify itself better think again. As even more candidates toss their hats into the ring, the race has gotten even more muddled.”
