Alabama Mayor Calls for Killing Gays

“We live in a society where homosexuals lecture us on morals, transvestites lecture us on human biology, baby killers lecture us on human rights and socialists lecture us on economics! … The only way to change it would be to kill the problem out. I know it’s bad to say but without killing them out there’s no way to fix it.”

— Carbon Hill, Alabama, Mayor Mark Chamber (R), is apologizing after he recommended “killing” members of the LGBTQ community in a now-deleted Facebook post. WBRC reports.

W.Va. GOP Lawmaker Compares Gay Community to the Ku Klux Klan

“The LGBTQ is a modern day version of the Ku Klux Klan, without wearing hoods with their antics of hate.”

— West Virginia Delegate Eric Porterfield (R) compared the gay community to the Ku Klux Klan after an anti-gay and lesbian rant he delivered in committee, the West Virginia Mail Gazette reports. He also called the gay community a “terrorist group” and said he is being “persecuted” by the gay community in retaliation for his remarks, including receiving threats on Facebook and voicemails.

Most Republicans Still Against Gay Marriage

63%

Of Republicans oppose the Supreme Court’s backing of gay marriage, which gives hope for conservative presidential candidates who have come out strongly against marriage equality, a new Reuters poll finds. “When asked in general whether they support allowing same-sex couples to marry, 51% of Americans say they do, while 35 percent oppose it. Forty-eight percent of independent voters back gay marriage, making it difficult for a conservative Republican to win general election votes on the issue.”

Ted Cruz Would Be a ‘Watchman on the Wall’ in ‘Game of Thrones’

The modern Democratic Party has become so radical, so extreme, that they have determined that their devotion to mandatory gay marriage in all 50 states trumps any allegiance to religious liberty under the First Amendment. We’ve got an obligation, as this conference recognizes, to be watchmen on the wall.

— Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), quoted by Time.

Anti-Gay Gay Republican Outs Himself Via Grindr

That’s what gay guys do on gay sites, don’t they? That’s how things happen on Grindr. It’s a gay chat site. It’s not the first thing you do on that site. That’s what we do, exchange pics on the site.

— North Dakota State Rep. Randy Boehning (R), confirming he was “Top Man!” on Grindr and saying he doesn’t think sending a graphic photo of himself to a stranger is a lapse in judgment, as Grindr is an adult site where users often exchange such images, reported Mediaite. After Rep. Boehning voted against a bill that would have expanded anti-discrimination rights for LGBT citizens, the Fargo Forum published a front page featuring his photo and the photos of every representative who voted against the bill. Dustin Smith, a 21-year-old Bismarck resident, recognized Boehning as a Grindr user named “Top Man!” who’d been flirting with him for a year and sending him pictures, some with his face, and at least one dick pic.
