A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds Hillary Clinton is consolidating a substantial lead over Donald Trump less than a month before Election Day, 48% to 37%, with Gary Johnson at 7%. Key finding: “While Mr. Trump’s core supporters haven’t abandoned him and not defected to the Democratic side, Mrs. Clinton’s gains stem from a widening advantage among women and the support of voters who had been undecided or planning to vote for third-party candidates.”

Google Searches for ‘Write-In’ Soar

Amount Google searches for the term “write-in” have surged, according to CNN: “The states with the highest rates of search are not battlegrounds, but Republican and Democratic strongholds. … As of Wednesday evening, three of the top market searches for “write-in” came in solidly Democratic states: Vermont, Delaware and New Jersey. Utah, a reliably red state that no Democrat has won since Lyndon B. Johnson; and Indiana, home to Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence, round out the top five.”

Of GOP insiders said Pence would beat Clinton in their states, Politico reports. “But only a 44% minority of GOP insiders say Trump would defeat Clinton in their state if the election were held today — fewer than the slightly more than half that picked Trump in recent weeks as he closed the gap with Clinton in the polls.”
Hillary Hatred Derangement Syndrome Explained
A board member of the conservative Wall Street Journal, Dorothy Rabinowitz, penned an op-ed in WSJ today in which she lays out a cogent argument about why sane people everywhere should vote for Hillary bClinton for president. She is by no means a full-throated fan of Clinton:
Mrs. Clinton hasn’t failed to provide, on her own, cause for concern about her own proclivities and never more intolerably than in that debate Monday when she chose to ramble on, familiarly, about institutional racism, which invariably emerges in her responses on conflagration involving police action. Americans have a right to cringe at this reflexive, factually distorted, and inflammatory sermonizing. The accompanying, deep felt tribute to the police and their heroism, invariably added, can never offset the insidiousness of these messages.
