Ohio Republican Candidate for Senate Confirms That Like Indiana’s Richard Mourdock – and Paul Ryan – He Opposes Exception for Rape

Watch as he nods, but refuses to say out loud, that he agrees with Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock — and GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan — that there should be no exception for rape when the Republican Party outlaws abortion. Mourdock suggested that rapes that produce children are God’s will.
Mitt Romney Alleged to Have Committed Perjury in Staples CEO’s Divorce Trial – Mitt Was Also Accused of Perjury in 2002
Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred has a pretty good track record when it comes to lobbing political bombshells. In 2010, she permanently hobbled the gubernatorial campaign of Mitt Romney’s friend Meg Whitman with the revelation that Whitman had employed an undocumented worker for years and then tried to cover it up.
More recently, Allred was instrumental in bringing then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s extramarital affair with his housekeeper to light, providing proof, finally, that Schwarzenegger was a scumbag philanderer — a fact that had been common knowledge in Hollywood for decades for the action star ran for governor.
Now Allred is investigating testimony provided by Romney during divorce proceedings for Staples CEO Tom Stemberg and his then-wife Maureen Sullivan. In the testimony, Romney is alleged to have helped Stemberg conceal the true worth of Staples Inc. from the court.

Apparently, Herman “Uzbekstan-stan-stan” Cain helped with Mitt Romney’s geography prep going into the presidential debate on foreign policy last night — and it was not the first time he’d gotten the geography of the Middle East wrong:

None of the proposals domestically add up (which means much more Republican-driven debt); we will be soon engaged in a protracted war against Iran, regardless of the views of the American public (more debt, untold damage to the global economy, a wave of renewed Jihadism to be met with more bombs and restored torture); millions will soon lose the only decent chance they had for health insurance, and those of us with pre-existing conditions will remain vulnerable to bankrupting ourselves if we ever lose private insurance for a period; but we sure will have more battleships for the long hoped-for neocon Cold War with China. And billionaires sure won’t pay more to help out.

Romney Family Buys Voting Machines That Will Be Used in Battleground States Ohio and Colorado On Nov. 6
Tagg Romney, the son of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, has purchased electronic voting machines that will be used in the 2012 elections in Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and Colorado.
“Late last month, Gerry Bello and Bob Fitrakis at FreePress.org broke the story of the Mitt Romney/Bain Capital investment team involved in H.I.G. Capital which, in July of 2011, completed a “strategic investment” to take over a fair share of the Austin-based e-voting machine company Hart Intercivic,” according to independent journalist Brad Friedman.
But Friedman is not the only one to discover the connection between the Romney family, Bain Capital, and ownership of voting machines.

Gallup Internals Show Obama Up by 4-Plus Points in the Northeast, Midwest and West – But Down by 22 Points in the Old Confederacy
Ezra Klein at the Washington Post Wonkblog published the chart above. It explains why Romney is leading President Obama by a whopping 7 percentage points in the current Gallup daily tracking poll. Klein also says it suggests that Obama could well win decisively in the Electoral College but lose just as decisively in the popular vote — a much more lopsided (not to mention legitimate) version of what happened in 2000, when George W. Bush was awarded Florida’s Electoral College votes by Republicans on the Supreme Court, while Al Gore won the popular ballot by over 500,000 votes.
(It also happened in 1876, when Republican Rutherford B. Hayes won in the Electoral College but lost to his Democratic opponent, Samuel Tilden, by 300,000 votes; and in 1888, when Republican Benjamin Harrison won in the Electoral College but lost the popular vote to Democrat Grover Cleveland, by about 100,000 votes.)
Klein does not go there, but what screams out about this breakout is that the United States’ first African-American president is ahead by what might be called a “normal” majority — an average of 4.6 percentage points — in every region of the country, except for the states of the Old Confederacy, where he is behind by an insurmountable 22 points.
