Ohio Republican Candidate for Senate Confirms That Like Indiana’s Richard Mourdock – and Paul Ryan – He Opposes Exception for Rape

This is Josh Mandel, the Republican Party’s candidate for the U.S. Senate in Ohio. Watch as he nods, but refuses to say out loud, that he agrees with Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock — and GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan — that there should be no exception for rape when the Republican Party outlaws abortion. Mourdock suggested that rapes that produce children are God’s will.

  1. I am absolutely pro-choice, but I don’t understand this outrage over the notion that people who completely oppose abortion don’t support an exception for rape. If an anti-choice person WERE to support an exception, that person would be saying “abortion is OK only if you didn’t want to have sex”; in other words, punish women who have sex voluntarily. That would be the worst kind of anti-sex, anti-woman philosophy, and would be completely hypocritical!

    1. Let’s hope this is all academic. The American Taliban has a right to its beliefs but the real issue is that their beliefs should not become the basis for law.
