“Melania Trump has barely been seen on the campaign trail this year. One of the few times she has appeared at a political event, she’s received a six-figure paycheck – a highly unusual move for the spouse of a candidate,” CNN reports. “The former first lady spoke at two political fundraisers for the Log Cabin Republicans this year, and she was paid $237,500 for an April event, according to former President Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosure form. The payment was listed as a ‘speaking engagement.’”
Poll: Voters Say Harris Is ‘Tougher’ than Trump

A new poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs (AP-NORC) reveals that voters believe Vice President Kamala Harris has more brains and brawn than GOP nominee Donald Trump. According to the numbers, voters chose Harris 59 percent over Trump’s 57 percent when it came to which candidate they felt was tough enough to be president. As for which candidate would change the country for the better, Harris beat Trump again 55 percent compared to 46 percent. Voters also said Harris was more likely to fight for them than Trump, scoring 54 percent and 43 percent, respectively.

Judd Legum at Popular Information offers a pretty good explainer on how Donald Trump and billionaire asshats like Peter Theil are already calling into question the results of the presidential election before a single vote has been cast. It’s rich that Trump is accusing the U.S. Postal Service of ineptitude in handling mail-in votes, since the postmaster general, Louis DeJoy, is a Trump appointee:

In a post to Truth Social on Sunday morning, Trump falsely claimed that the United States Postal Service (USPS) “has admitted that it is a poorly run mess that is experiencing mail loss and delays at a level never seen before.” Trump asked, “how can we possibly be expected to allow or trust the U.S. Postal Service to run the 2024 Presidential Election?”
