Graham Says He’s Not Interested in Cabinet Post
“I like him, and I want to help him. I want him to be successful. But I feel I can do more good for the country and help President Trump more effectively by being in the Senate. I’ll help him where I can and say no when I have to.” He added: “I’m going to run again. There you go, you made news. I’m definitely running.”
— Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), telling WYFF that he has “zero interest” in joining President Trump’s cabinet.
Kavanaugh Killed Never Trumpers
“Resistance is futile. Long on life-support, the Never Trump ‘resistance’ movement within the Republican Party was finished off by the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation fight. … The Kavanaugh hearing essentially radicalized Never Trumpers. Some—as part of the GOP base’s backlash against the left’s attacks—are coming home and supporting Trump. Others—perhaps because their hatred of Trump has only intensified—were pushed completely from the fold. This process has been going on for a long time, but one gets the sense that the fight over Kavanaugh was the end of the road.”

Oppo Groups Raise More Than $4.1 Million to Beat Collins
$4.1 million
CrowdPAC has raised $3.6 million and ActBlue has raised $480,000 for the future Democratic opponent to Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) in 2020. To put this in perspective, Collins raised $6 million for her entire campaign in 2014. In 2008, the last time she had a serious challenge, she raised $8 million.
A Mocking Mockery of a Mocker
If the Kavanaugh confirmation was strictly evidential,
Donald Trump’s interference would not be consequential.
But while he eschews norms,
There’s something about form,
And mocking a sexual assault victim just ain’t presidential.
