The Right’s Target List

This list was started on Twitter, by Peter Daou:

As I’ve said, the right’s target list speaks volumes: unions, scientists, academics, public broadcasters, health providers, women.

We can think of a few more.

  • Gay people, especially those in long-term, loving relationships who want to marry and/or adopt children
  • Veterans, once they’ve been injured, maimed, or traumatized in defense of our country
  • Children, when they are out of the womb and require food, health care, or education
  • People who adhere strictly to religious faiths, unless it’s Christianity
  • Anyone who wasn’t born an American citizen but yearns to become one
  • Doctors who want to protect children from accidental shootings
  • Mass transit, renewable energy, and anything else that does not involve paving more land for more cars and SUVs

We’ll stop now but please keep this list going. What else do Republicans, tea partiers, and the right want to get rid of?

  1. Who else?

Jews, unless they write and produce sitcoms, do their taxes, or keep them out of jail.

African-Americans, unless they are Allan West or J. C. Watts. (Michael Steele specifically omitted from list)

  2. Republicans HATE science: Not only do they deny evolution, but some of these anti-science lunatics is going after the Big Bang itself.

    I need a new country . . .

  3. EDUCATION
    FREE SPEECH
    FREEDOM OF THE PRESS
    REASONABLE GUN LAWS
ANYONE WHO DOESN’T LOVE RONALD REAGAN AND/OR RUSH LIMBAUGH
    DRUG DECRIMINALIZATION
    CHRISTIANITY, THE REAL KIND
    ISLAM, ANY KIND
    MINORITIES, ANY KIND
    PBS, NPR, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNELS

  4. Senior citizens who depend on Social Security and Medicare in order to LIVE…especially the Baby Boomers who are becoming 65 this year…

  5. They consider any citizen who is not rich enough to contribute millions to their campaigns as of no importance. Republicans have sold their soul to the company store.

They would prefer a feudal system where the peasants work for the Lords of corporations.
