D’Souza Sentenced for Violating Campaign Finance Laws

Sentence handed down by a federal judge to conservative writer/filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who was spared prison time but received five years’ probation for violating campaign finance laws, The Smoking Gun reports. For the first eight months of his probation, D’Souza will have to live in a “community confinement center” in San Diego. He will also have to pay a $30,000 fine, undergo “therapeutic counseling” and perform one day of community service per week during probation.
