  1. The ongoing Ed Snowden case is really incredible. It clearly emphasizes the remarkable troubles the USA has regarding personal privacy. However it’s not simply our federal government. Even average Americans are now snooping on one another. Without knowing anything about you; my grandma,Tony, your nextdoor neighbor,Joey can use internet resources like IntelliGator and learn your financial records, work history, marriage records. And identical to the NSA – it is totally lawful.Messed up but nonetheless legal. This needs to change. In the digital world, there’s a lot data available. And government online hackers are getting more innovative every day. When will it end?The US Govt domestic spying case is surely upsetting. But truthfully – what did we expect. For a start The movie industry has already primed Americans for this degree of incursion. We all cheer every time the movie police hacks into cell phone conversations to snatch the “bad” guys. And despite not having a warrant, we don’t have a trouble with it. But we are surprised when we discover the same technology exists and is being used on us.Furthermore – you don’t need to be a major government to spy. Advertisers monitor us all the time. Virtually anyone with a Web connection can peak into your history from Facebook. On-line snooping tools are making conventional private detectives redundant. It’s all too legal – and all too scary.
