After being absent on the stage throughout the hurricane disaster, Vice President Cheney was photographed at the White House today standing next to Karl Rove in the Rose Garden just prior to President Bush’s live radio broadcast.

Mr. Cheney was reported to be on vacation in Wyoming until now, and there have been reports that he is ill.
