Poll: Bush’s Approval Hits a New Low

American voters disapprove of the job President George W. Bush is doing 53 – 41 percent, his lowest approval rating since becoming President. This compares to a 50 – 44 percent disapproval in a May 25 Quinnipiac University poll.

It amazes me that 41 percent of Americans approve of lying and incompetence.

  1. “It amazes me that 41 percent of Americans approve of lying and incompetence.”

They are the “some of the people” of whom Lincoln was speaking about.

  2. Ah, yes, the ones who can be fooled all the time.

One interesting thing. Nixon was at 44 percent at this point in his second term – and that was in the midst of Watergate.

  3. Osama bin Laden’s numbers are down too, according to Pew Research, in Morocco, Lebanon, Indonesia and Turkey. He gained a little ground in Pakistan and Jordan, though. I say, let’s get rid of both of them ASAP.

  4. What does it take to convince some folks? A fake reporter with security clearances and a male-prostitution rap sleeping over at the White House? Yeah, something off-the-wall like that would have to happen.
