“Members of President Trump’s campaign and transition team had more than 100 contacts with Russian-linked operatives,” USA Today reports. “The milestone illustrates the deep ties between members of Trump’s circle and the Kremlin. The findings, tracked by the Center for American Progress and its Moscow Project, come amid reports that special counsel Robert Mueller is nearing the conclusion of the two-year investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by the president.”

Majority Disapprove of Trump’s Handling of the Russia Investigation

A new CNN poll finds that just 34% of Americans approve of President Trump’s handling of the Russia investigation as compared to 55% who disapprove. In addition, 56% believe Trump has interfered with the investigation while just 38% say he has not. And 58% say this is a serious matter that should be investigated while only 37% who think it’s mainly an effort to discredit Trump.
