Vote, Elect, Impeach
Ask his handlers — Donald Trump’s unteachable.
Try to get him on-message — he’s unreachable.
But some college professors
Looked at his high crimes and misdemeanors,
And found that a President Trump would be eminently impeachable.
A President Trump Would Be Eminently Impeachable
Law professor Christopher Peterson said he found ample evidence to charge the Republican candidate with fraud and racketeering, both of which are considered felonies within state and federal law… Peterson also said Congress can push for an impeachment in civil cases — the president doesn’t need to be criminally convicted — and that it can consider crimes committed before the candidate was elected to office.
— Researchers at the University of Utah, who say there’s a strong case to impeach Donald Trump, should he be elected as president, KUTV reports.
Trump’s Taxes Represent Something Deeper
The problem with Trump’s tax history is that it’s emblematic of something larger, a missing plank at the foundation of his campaign. I suspect he knows this too, which is why he so doggedly refused to release his returns, technically defensible as they are. … Simply put, there doesn’t seem to be any record anywhere of Trump having considered the public interest above his own. This isn’t me ripping into the guy for being rich or bombastic; it’s a genuine assessment of his record as a citizen and a celebrity. If there’s some evidence of Trump having served anyone but himself, ever, for more than one night at some red carpet benefit, I’d like to see it. … This is new in presidential politics. Going back to George Washington, American presidents have more or less fulfilled the ideal of citizen soldiers.”

Trump Doing Worse than Romney with White Voters
Donald Trump’s strategy in this campaign has been fairly clear from the beginning: Drive up Republican support among white voters in order to compensate for the GOP’s shrinking share among the growing nonwhite portion of the electorate. And Trump has succeeded in overperforming among a certain slice of white voters, those without a college degree. … But overall, the strategy isn’t working. Trump has a smaller lead among white voters than Mitt Romney did in 2012, and Trump’s margin seems to be falling from where it was when the general election began.

Clinton Opens Up a Nine-Point National Lead
45% to 36%
Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump nationally, with Gary Johnson at 11%, according to a new Fairleigh Dickenson Public Mind poll finds. Said pollster Krista Jenkins: “The post-presidential debate landscape is clearly favoring Clinton. Trump’s continued weight shaming of a former Miss Universe and the weekend disclosure of his 1995 tax returns are but a sample of difficult news coverage for the Republican candidate.”
Obama Traces the Line of the GOP’s Descent to Trump
I see a straight line from the announcement of Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential nominee to what we see today in Donald Trump, the emergence of the Freedom Caucus, the tea party, and the shift in the center of gravity for the Republican Party.
— President Obama, in an interview with New York Magazine.
Last Week Trump Practiced ‘Self-Sabotage’
Political operatives and strategists are going to study this week for generations as the textbook case of self-sabotage.
— Democratic strategist Mo Elleithee, quoted by the Washington Post, on Donald Trump’s disastrous week.
Hillary Hatred Derangement Syndrome Explained

A board member of the conservative Wall Street Journal, Dorothy Rabinowitz, penned an op-ed in WSJ today in which she lays out a cogent argument about why sane people everywhere should vote for Hillary bClinton for president. She is by no means a full-throated fan of Clinton:
Mrs. Clinton hasn’t failed to provide, on her own, cause for concern about her own proclivities and never more intolerably than in that debate Monday when she chose to ramble on, familiarly, about institutional racism, which invariably emerges in her responses on conflagration involving police action. Americans have a right to cringe at this reflexive, factually distorted, and inflammatory sermonizing. The accompanying, deep felt tribute to the police and their heroism, invariably added, can never offset the insidiousness of these messages.
But Rabinowitz has stared into the abyss that would be a Trump presidency:
