Gov. Rick Scott is Confused

$888,317

The tab Gov. Rick Scott has handed Florida taxpayers less than halfway through his term to defend lawsuits brought against such ALEC-inspired policies as drug testing of people on public assistance, vote suppression efforts, the ability of pediatricians to inquire if there are guns in the home and if so, how they are stored, etc. Scott defended the expense by saying, “If you do conservative things in Florida you get sued.” Scott’s definition of conservative seems to be that the more government does, the better.
