NY Post: Biden Up by 7 Points over Trump

Biden Up by 7

New York Post:”The WPA Intelligence survey of 1,571 registered voters found Biden, 80, leading 76-year-old Trump 47% to 40%. By comparison, Biden defeated Trump by 4.5 percentage points in the 2020 popular vote, while former President Barack Obama won re-election over Republican Mitt Romney by 3.9 percentage points in 2012. The poll … also showed independent voters backing Biden by a whopping 14 percentage points.”

DeSantis’s Trump Problem

“The problem for DeSantis, who appears on the verge of officially entering the 2024 race, is that in order to make the case he is more electable than Trump this time around, he needs to debunk the lie that Trump actually beat Biden last time. … As Republican consultant Alex Conant told Politico: ‘If a candidate can’t dispose of a fake issue like who won the election, how can voters expect them to handle the real issues?’”

CNN Continues to Lose Audience — to Newsmax!

>1 million

“Two days after the network pulled in more than 3.3 million viewers for its widely criticized town hall with former President Donald Trump, CNN found itself in fourth place among cable news networks in primetime,” the Daily Beast reports. “Worse yet, it finished behind MAGA channel Newsmax, which until recently was barely nabbing a nightly audience of 100,000.”

Steve Bannon Spent $601,000 to Fight Congressional Subpoena

$601,000

Steve Bannon’s nihilist fight with the Jan. 6 Committee — in which the right-wing podcaster and one-time Donald Trump adviser ignored a congressional subpoena and ended up convicted of a crime — cost him more than half a million dollars, reports the Daily Beast. And that’s not to mention the four-month jail sentence he’ll start if his appeal fails or the $6,500 fine that goes along with it. Instead, Bannon’s $601,000 bill comes entirely in the form of legal bills—most of which remain unpaid to this day.

Americans Don’t Think ‘Wokeness’ Is a Big Deal

41%

A new Yahoo News/YouGov poll finds that fewer consider “wokeness” (41%) a “big problem” in America today than any other option provided, including inflation (74%), breaching the debt ceiling (58%) and border security (58%). Racism (50%) also outranks wokeness, as do new abortion restrictions (46%) and book banning in schools (47%) — issues on which President Biden plans to focus his reelection bid.

CNN’s Trump Town Hall Drew Only 3.1 Million Viewers

3.1 million

“At a time when CNN has been struggling to turn around viewership decline, the [Trump town hall] telecast proved to be a ratings disappointment, with Nielsen reporting just 3.1 million viewers overall. That was a big boost over CNN’s typical 8 p.m. telecast, but a smaller audience than CNN’s town hall with President Biden last summer (3.7 million) and six previous Trump town halls carried by Fox News — calling into question both CNN and Trump’s drawing power,” the Washington Post reports.
