Every conspiracy theory has a source. More often than not, however, the source is impossible to track down. Not so with Trump’s pet theory that it was Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in the 2016 election.

The source of that thoroughly disproved assertion was Trump’s handler, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Putin first mentioned it in public during a news conference with right-wing Hungarian leader Viktor Orban, in 2017:

Fox News Anchors Raise Possibility of Charging Trump with Witness Tampering

— Fox News anchor Bret Baier, who, with co-anchor Chris Wallace said that President Trump’s Friday tweets attacking ex-ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch during her testimony raised the possibility of an additional article of impeachment being added against Trump for witness tampering, CNN reports.

Dems Quote Constitution, Use Term ‘Bribery’

“I am saying what the president has admitted to and said it’s perfect — it’s perfectly wrong. It’s bribery. … The bribe is to grant or withhold military assistance in return for a public statement of a fake investigation into the elections. That’s bribery.”

The speaker’s remark is one of her strongest statements yet on the scandal engulfing Trump that is threatening his presidency. Bribery is one of the specific crimes spelled out in the Constitution as an impeachable offense.

Majority of Pennsylvanians Believe Trump Should Not Be Re-Elected

A new Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll in Pennsylvania shows nearly six in 10 don’t believe President Trump should be re-elected. Asked the first word that enters their mind when they hear Trump’s name, the top response was “arrogant/pompous/jerk,” followed by “idiot/moron.” The third most-common response was a tie between “effective/accomplished,” “corrupt/criminal,” and “great/awesome/good.”
