A new USA Today/Suffolk poll finds that by a nearly 2-1 margin, 58% to 32%, Americans say they want to elect a Congress that mostly stands up to President Trump, not one that mostly cooperates with him. If the election were held today, those surveyed say they are more likely to vote for the Democratic candidate for Congress than the Republican one by 47% to 32% — a yawning 15 percentage-point advantage.

A new AP-NORC poll finds that 57% of Americans, including more than 8 in 10 blacks, three-quarters of Hispanics and nearly half of whites, said they think President Trump is racist. Eighty-five percent of Democrats consider Trump racist, but just 21% of Republicans agree.

A new USA Today/Suffolk University poll finds that by wide margins, Americans are convinced that Russians meddled in the 2016 presidential election and that they will try it again. More than four in 10 believe Moscow’s interference affected the outcome of the election that put Donald Trump in the White House. A 58% majority say they have a lot or some trust in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, while a 57% majority say they have little or no trust in Trump’s denials.
