‘Trump Regretters’ Are a Growing Margin
11%
A PSB Research survey finds that 11% of American adults are “Trump Regretters,” meaning they voted for Trump but now would change their mind or have moved away from him in intensity. Key finding: 35% of those surveyed say Trump is “going too far” and 35% say he’s “getting sidetracked by things that aren’t important.”
Translating Trump’s Tweets
Those Saturday tweets were not Trump venting his frustrations,
They were a Commander-In-Chief requesting investigations.
They weren’t a two-dollar watch wound too tight,
They were a simple call for congressional oversight.
And now, the White House will say no more about those “allegations.”
Trump Goes ‘Ballistic’
We remember a calmer, wittier Trump from not so long ago,
But now he seems shaken, freighted by emotional cargo.
That’s why he went ‘ballistic’
And pitched a hissy fit,
Before heading off to the “winter White House” Mar-a-Lago.
Lindsey Graham Is Either ‘Worried’ of ‘Very Worried’
I’m very worried that our president is suggesting the former president has done something illegal. I’d be very worried if in fact the Obama administration was able to obtain a warrant lawfully about Trump campaign activity with foreign governments. It’s my job as United States senator to get to the bottom of this.
— Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), quoted by The Hill.
A Tweet Too Far?
In Donald’s view, his Twitter account has never failed him.
It’s been his stalwart go-to whenever critics assailed him.
But Republicans cringe
When his tweets seem unhinged,
Like when he posts unsubstantiated claims Obama surveilled him.
