Of American adults have a favorable opinion of musician and actor David Bowie who passed away Sunday night after an 18-month battle with cancer, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. This includes 25% with a very favorable view. Just 15% have a somewhat or very unfavorable view of Bowie. Twenty-one percent didn’t know enough about him to venture any kind of opinion.

Donald Trump’s net favorable rating of -70 among Democrats, according to a new Gallup survey — “by far the worst image of any major Republican candidate among Democrats and independents.” The next GOP candidates rated most negatively among Democrats are Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee, with net favorable ratings of -37 and -34, respectively.

Of the approximately $150 million spent on advertisements in the 2016 presidential race has come from outside groups, NBC News reports. “But there is a significant difference by party: 83% of the Republican ad dollars, especially in early states like Iowa and New Hampshire, have come from Super PACs and other outside groups, versus just a mere 2% for Democrats.”

Number of ballots cast in online balloting that ran from last Thursday through Sunday night to win the endorsement of the liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org, Politico reports. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders prevailed, “winning 78.6 percent of the vote out of 340,665 ballots cast — both records in terms of most votes cast and largest margin of victory. Just 14.6 percent voted for Hillary Clinton, and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley earned 0.9 percent, with 5.9 percent of ballots in favor of not endorsing a particular candidate this time.”
