Outside Groups Beginning to See TV Ads as a Waste
It’s a complete waste of money, and I think people are starting to figure that out.
— GOP strategist Barry Bennett, quoted by the Los Angeles Times, on the money spent by outside groups on television advertising.
The Basest Base
Donald Trump boasts about the strength of his presidential bid,
He says he wouldn’t lose votes no matter what he did.
He could take a gun
And shoot someone,
And his supporters wouldn’t care — especially if it was a black kid.
Sanders Holds Significant Lead in N.H.
50%
Sen. Bernie Sanders’ lead over Hillary Clinton’s 41%, according to a new Suffolk University poll in New Hampshire. Also interesting: “Sanders fares better when it comes to the issue of trust. Asked which of the three major Democratic candidates is the most trustworthy, respondents chose Sanders by a 15-point margin: 51% to Clinton’s 36%. And while 26% of likely Democratic voters said they were bothered by Clinton’s use of private email as secretary of state, 71% said that it is not of concern.”
‘Bar’ Protects Cub
Jeb Bush’s low-energy campaign’s in a slump,
So he created a commercial to give it a jump.
But though he’s losing to the bully,
Jeb’s keeping his hands unsullied,
By letting his mom take on mean old Donald Trump.
