What about the civic propriety of a presidential nominee failing even to mention, in his acceptance speech, a war we’re fighting and our young men and women who are fighting it?

Of course he wouldn’t mention War or military service. Only the middle class and the poor fight our wars for us. While the rich profit from war. How much money do think he has invested in Defense contractors. Oh.. don’t forget all the defferments he got to get out of the draft.
I honestly do not believe Mitt Romney or his family thinks about the military at all. It isn’t natural for them to think about our troops. It isn’t near to them…he hasn’t served and neither have his 5 able bodied sons. It was a very natural omission, because he sincerely is not thinking about those men and women currently serving overseas or who have served in the past. President Obama has no military service, but he was from a military family…his grandfather and uncle served…his grandmother was not enlisted, but she stepped up in that “Rosie the Rivitor” role. So, it is natural for the president to care and think about those who sacrifice so much for the country. Romney courts words that lead to war, but I guess he thinks he’ll fight those wars with toy soldiers?!? It isn’t a game. I think Romney is power hungry and isn’t really interested in doing the job of president…he’s just after the title. It’s an honorable position…not meant for people who lie and flip flop all the time. He is not a presidential man. I think Romney would prefer to be a king, that’s his aura.
