Pensito Review columnist Dr. Democrat is the third celebrity to come forward claiming an interview taped at an earlier date for a different program was slated for broadcast on Sarah Palin’s “Real American Stories” show. Dr. Democrat joins singer/actor LL Cool J and country western star Toby Keith who also claim not to have known that interviews they gave Fox News in the past were going appear on Palin’s program, which is scheduled to air tonight.
“I gave that interview back in 2007 for a program about whether differences in diet explain why some people are Republicans,” said Dr. Democrat in a statement issued by his publicist’s publicist. “If I’d known it was going to run on Palin’s fake-o news show, I’d have raised a ruckus.”
Dr. Democrat described Palin as a “fancy-pageant-walking vampire” who “sucks the credibility out” of the people who appear on her “news” program.
According to the New York Times, LL Cool J claims his interview dates from 2008, while Keith’s publicist said the singer was interviewed in early 2009.
Asked Keith’s reaction, his publicist, Elaine Schock, said, “I’m not going to comment on what Toby feels about it.”
Asked for Dr. Democrat’s reaction to the news, a close but anonymous friend admitted, “He’s afraid the other columnists are going to pick on him and start calling him Dr. Tea Party.”
