McCain Offers Wife for Biker Babe Nudie Event

Somebody needs to wing a buffalo chip off his shiny, asymmetrical head.

Yes, John McCain offered his wife up for the Sturgis, South Dakota Motorcycle Rally “Miss Buffalo Chip” pageant. Contestants often start out semi-clothed in the legendary event, but rarely win that way. McCain allowed that “with a little luck,” Cindy might be both First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip.

“With a little luck?” Does this woman have any self-respect at all? First he called her a trollop and a cunt in public, then he chuckles as the drunken bikers wolf whistle and yell, “Show us your boobs?” Why is she married to him?

There are a lot of things I don’t understand about Hillary Clinton supporters saying they are willing to vote for John McCain but overlooking behavior like this, or the time he agreed with a town hall questioner who called Hillary a bitch, or jokes about Chelsea Clinton being so ugly because Janet Reno is her father, or my favorite, the one about a woman beaten, raped, and left for dead by a gorilla whose last words are, “Where is that marvelous ape?”…I just don’t get.

Olbermann Interviews Stephen Price, the African-American Reporter Ousted By McCain Security

Last night on MSNBC’s “Countdown,” Keith Olbermann interviewed Stephen Price, the reporter from the Tallahassee Democrat who was ejected from a John McCain event, an incident Trish wrote about on Sunday.

Update from Trish: Incredibly, one of the first comments on this video at the YouTube site accused Stephen Price of “playing the race card” because he noticed that none of the white reporters were thrown out, except for the one who was standing up for him. Could all of you people who are that blind and racist please go live in another country?

McCain Out of Touch with NASCAR on Tire Inflation

“There are things you can do individually to save energy,” Barack Obama said last week “… Making sure your tires are properly inflated — simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling — if everybody was just inflating their tires. And getting regular tune-ups. You’d actually save just as much.”

This week the McCain campaign has been mocking Obama’s assertion that keeping tires inflated conserves gasoline by selling tire gauges, for a $25 donation, labeled “Obama Energy Plan.” They plan to hand them out in California this weekend when McCain and Obama both speak a church in Orange County. A McCain operative laid on the snark:

Rick Gorka, the McCain campaign spokesman, said he helped put together the prop as “just another avenue for us to highlight that Barack Obama’s energy policy is completely out of touch with what Americans need” … “He says inflate your tires and tune up your cars, and we don’t need to drill” for offshore oil.

But it ain’t Obama who is out of touch:
