The famous Peter Principle is, sadly, flawed. It leads one to believe that a person will rise ONLY to their level of incompetence, and no further. He fails to account for the fact that, in America at least, it is possible through grit, determination, hard work, and a little help from your friends,to rise far above one’s level of incompetence. But then, Mr Peter probably never met our president.
