Cheney Finally Got That Quail

Tee hee.

Air Force Two carrying Vice President Dick Cheney struck a bird as the plane neared O’Hare International Airport on Friday.

The aircraft landed safely. Mechanics checked the plane while Cheney spoke at the Heritage Foundation’s annual leadership conference, but the incident did not delay his departure from the airport to return to Washington.

“A bird hit the right engine of the plane upon landing,” said Megan McGinn, a spokeswoman for Cheney. “He was told after he delivered his remarks.”

  1. Today, a CIA spokesperson would neither confirm or deny that the bird that savagely attacked V.P Cheney’s custom built 747 was a member of an Al Qaada cell.
Speculation that the bird had been raised personally by Saddam Hussein was not verified by the CIA.

Elsewhere, the Department of Homeland Security raised the threat level awareness to it’s highest rating, citing unamed sources saying that an Al Qaada cell was training suicide pigeons to attack jet airliners.

“We’re not saying that it is very dangerous out there, but people do need to keep alert and call in to our 1-800 number any suspicious looking pigeons,” stated the PIO for DHS.
