Comedian Rush Limbaugh weighs in (that’s a bad word) on the Foley sex scandal:
LIMBAUGH: I’m just thinking out loud here. What if somebody got to the page and said, you know, we want you to set Foley up. We need to do a little titillating thing here. Keep it and save it and so forth. How would you get a kid to do that? Yeah, who knows? You threaten him or pay him. There’s any number of ways given the kind of people that we’re dealing with and talking about here.
Now, folks, I don’t want to be misunderstood here. I’m not trying to mount any kind of a defense. That’s a bad word. I’m not trying to get into a defense of what Mark Foley did. Please don’t misunderstand. I’m just telling you that the — the — the orgy and the orgasm that has been taking place in the media since Friday and with the Democrats is — it’s all coordinated, and it’s all — it’s all oriented toward the election. There’s no concern about the kid — no concern about the children.
There is — there is — there’s not even any real problem with what Foley did, as we’ve discussed. In their hearts and minds and their crotches, they don’t have any problem with what Foley did. They’ve defended it over the — over the years.
Wow. It leaves me speechless to read this. It’s probably no big deal to Rush because of his own proclivities. Pop a couple ‘a Viagra and head to the islands for some hot man/boy action.

And, even if he were set up, how does that condone his behavior? Does a john get a free pass from jail when he’s solicited by an undercover hooker? Or are Repubs resorting to the Marion Barry defense “b*tch set me up”? Apparently his lawyer is using that age-old “lib” defense of blaming it on his childhood! And trotting out Gerry Studds’ name, as if that has any relevance to the current leaderships’ transgressions. My, my, my, the Repugs’ true colors are really being shown with this one!
Y – they could do that, Rush. For that matter, some Republicans could’ve done the same thing by enlisting a White House intern to seduce a President – I’m just typing out loud here, of course, but it seems to me that, given the otherwise deplorable state of ethics within the GOP, that such a thing might well have happened.
I have a Bushbot friend who believes that his favorite airport near Chicago was destroyed purely as a personal vendetta by the mayor. A mere clash of personalities–someone hating someone else for some reason–led to destruction of a perfectly good AIRPORT.
I find this hard to believe, but when Limbaugh suggests the whole Foley scandal is an elaborate spiteful set-up, I can see where my friend got his idea.
Oh yes, this could well have been a set-up. I’m just thinking out loud here, but maybe the “boy” was really a adult midget and maybe his penis had a listening device in it so that IF Foley had sucked him off, it would all have been recorded and sent wirelessly back to Democratic HQ.

When Rush has nothing to say he goes into ‘suppose’ reporting. A paraphrase, “Suppose all the lefties in the world paid this kid, now this is not a defense but with their level of morals its not that difficult to visualize.” It’s sad that this kind of slanderous garbage is even considered as commentary. And when liberal media present this as a dialogue (Franken) it’s tragic.
