Feet to the fire: Top Dems, including Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, Assistant Senate Democratic Leader Richard Durbin, Senate Democratic Campaign Committee Chairman Charles Schumer and Senate Democratic Conference Secretary Debbie Stabenow sent George Bush a letter yesterday, and it was not an early Valentine.
The letter asks the prez to explain the nature of the quid pro quo between his administration and super-crook Jack Abramoff. It questions not only the influence deals covered already in the press, but asks bluntly how deep Bush’s hand went into Abramoff’s pocket and how many strings were attached.
It’s good to see the Democratic Party jumping on this scandal and making political hay with it. Read the whole letter here.
Thanks to Susan S. for the tip

Thanks so much for getting the word out. I think this might be the most important thing that has happened regarding the Abramoff scandal.
I’ve been typing my little fingers off trying to get this front and center but still I’m not seeing it out there. Please everybody, get your fingers moving.
As the Chinese proverb says, this is like the soldier who retreats 30 paces jeering at the soldier who retreats 50 paces, for BOTH of the main parties and ALL of the Congress, of both houses, are rotten and corrupt to the core.
