Like Page, I had a big ol’ “Huh??” reaction when I read McClellan’s quote. My first thought was that Michael Moore had weighed in on the Murtha thing and I missed it. My second thought was that they are getting truly desperate when they need to throw Michael Moore at us (no offense, MM).
Although hardcore Bush faithful were unswayed by Moore’s expose on Bush during the election, much of the Academy Award winner’s Farenheit 9/11 dealt with Bush’s lying us into war. Does Rove & Co. really want to go there now?

What I want to know is, what about Michael Moore is so radically left wing? He questions authority, yes, but he’s no communist. FDR was further left than Michael Moore. Is that so bad?
If Moore’s movie “Farenheit 9-11” didn’t influence Bush’s base, (voting and vote scanning machine tinkering aside) it was because of a well orchestrated mis-information campaign and the unwillingness of the mainstream press to separate fact from fiction or stand up for Moore when he was criticized unfairly. Moore was “swift boated”, no doubt.
One of the tenets of right wing dominance is to rebrand (falsely) the opposition as untrustworthy. They made liberal a dirty word (70% of the US population) and have taught their gullible followers to distrust trustworthy sources of information like universities, scientists and experts in their field.
Moore did an excellent job at what he does best; asking the questions a child would ask and entertaining us with the outrageous actions of our government, our leaders and ourselves.

If anything, this referene to Moore will make a few people take another look at, or a first look at Fahrenheit 911, and really pick up on the idiocy of this “administration.” However, I cannot understand how MM didn’t tell of how dumya and his butchers let 911 happen.
These bums in the White House must be desperate if all they have is Michael Moore criticism. Prediction: Cheney Resigns, Rove is Indicted, and months (2006) from now, BUSH WILL BE IMPEACHED. There is even the outside chance that 9/11 justice will rise and finger WHIG and top level neocons as culprits.
Republicans dont realize that to most people being likened to michael moore is a good thing. I am proud of michael moore, if not for him, when we didnt know better, because media wouldnt tell us, he stood up with the truth and I am sure he took a beating..Because he was not afraid, it made me not afraid to stand up and say this has to stop….Michael wanted to be a priest at one time, but I guess thought he could do good in other ways.. You guys slay me. You keep slurring Michael Moore even though you ostensibly support his views.He had the balls to take on the Bush crime family in a gutsy, courageous way. He made some money in the process. And there is always some qualifications when you praise him. Has he said anything Cindy Sheehan hasn’t said. Michael Moore is a truly great American. Give him credit for telling the unvarnished truth in an entertaining way.
Disagree with these Right wing conservatives 5% of the time they call you a liberal. Disagree with them 7% of the time they call you a socialist. Disagree with them 10% of the time they call you a communist.
Right wing conservatives engage in a classic divide + conquer strategy. First they gain control of 1 of 2 major parties. Second, they automatically attempt to demonize everyone else knowing that in a 2 party system, control will shift back and forth.
A few months before the 2004 election, I saw two of the talking heads on MSNBC discussing Fahrenheit 9/11 and how Michael Moore was playing “fast and loose” with the truth. But everyone with more than a 1-minute attention span already knew by that time it was the Bush Administration that habitually played fast and loose with the truth. And most of the “mainstream” media was willing to play right along with the Bushies to ensure the disaster that is Bush would continue for another four years.
I’ve read or watched almost all of Micheal Moores work and he sets out to prove all he contends through independently verifiable sources, the neo-cons have never ever been able to prove any of their allegations against him or anyone else for that fact. they are just a bunch of propaganda smear machine frat boys who hates the light anybody shines on them.

Fahrenheit 911 is going to go down as the most historically accurate depiction/description of the Bush administration ever presented. This is what worries the Conservative Republicans more than anything imaginable.
Can you imagine the vitriol that would be unleashed on Michael Moore and the dissassociation that would be compelled of liberals if he were a convicted criminal (G. Gordon Libby, Oliver North) or drug addict (Rush Limbaugh) instead of merely a liberal satirist?
Murtha also agrees with Michael Moore on the subject of good oral hygiene. So are republicans going to stop brushing and flossing regularly?
I am just to baffled by McClellan’s reference to Moore that my brain began to bleed just thinking about it.That said,if just 50% of the regular folks that voted for Bush would take a look at farenheit 911 i’m quite certain they would be screaming for his head on a platter right now.But noooo,they were just too afraid of the big bad terrorist hiding behind every bush,so they vote the idiot in and are now getting their just rewards.Should have looked at this man’s work 12 months ago and maybe we would be in a different place today.Dumbasses.
