Would Hillary Lead as a Progressive?

The question that we have is, will it be the Hillary that leads the progressives? Or is it the Hillary that says, ‘I’m already going to win the Democratic nomination, and so I can shift hard right on Day 1.’ We can’t afford any more hard right. We had eight years of George Bush. — Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), quoted by the Arizona Republic, dismissing another presidential bid in 2016.

Reid: Cruz Wants to Run for President

The government being shutdown for 14 or 15 days, that has been very hurtful to people. Not only the people that work for government, but the people who work around government.

— Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), telling the Washington Post in a forthcoming interview that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) did what he did during the government shutdown because he wants to run for president.
