The Romney-Ryan campaign sent Paul Ryan and his family to a homeless shelter in Ohio yesterday so that the press could take photos of them serving a meal to the needy. When the Ryan entourage arrived at the shelter, the meal service was over, the diners had left the hall and the volunteer staff had cleaned the room and washed the dishes.
“The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate,” Brian Natal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, told a reporter. “He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”
Antal also said the Romney-Ryan campaign showed up without calling first or asking for permission. “We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antal said. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there, and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”
This is bigger than a lie. its a complete failure of moral judgement. How could he go thru the entire process with knowing this was wrong? My God – this is bad.
